Antique silver- fire gilded- carnelian pendant necklace / Tumar Turkmenistan/ Karakalpaks Uzbekistan.
The Karakalpaks or Qaraqalpaqs are a Turkic ethic group native to Karakalpakstan in northwestern Uzbekistan.

Exquisite large antique ‘tumar’ on a temporary red cord.
A Tumar is a combination of a triangle and a cylinder-shaped amulet case. On the front is has beautiful silver and fire gilded work, glass and carnelian beads set. The pendant tested as high quality silver!

This lovely antique silver pendant is from my personal collection, I hope it finds a new loving home!
I purchased this lovely pendant years ago from the well known US jewelry collector Linda Pastorino - Sinkiang.

Pendant is 16 x 15 cm (6.3" x 5.9") including the little bead section.
There are 5 carnelian stones set, one has a crack in the center.
Weight is 170 grams.

Very nice and attentive customer service. The ring is beautifully crafted, just as I knew it would be. It’s obvious from the photos.
