What is Hook Backing?

The hook component is rough and textured, effectively sticking to different surfaces, especially its counterpart - the loop. The loop component is soft and plush. When the hook is pressed onto the loop, a strong and reusable bond is created. Please note that your order does not include the loop component. Important: The hook backing is not sewn onto the patch but attached with a strong adhesive.

How To Iron On Your Patch

1. Preheat your iron to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (the cotton setting) for about five minutes or until hot. Position your patch where you want it on the material. 2. Place a pressing parchment square or a thin cloth over the patch. 3. Place your iron onto the cloth on top of the patch and apply firm pressure for about 30 seconds. Allow the material and patch to cool for five minutes. 4. Next, turn your garment inside out and iron the area behind the patch while applying firm pressure for 30 seconds. This ensures that the patch is firmly attached. Allow the area to cool for another five minutes, and the iron-on process is complete. DO NOT OVERHEAT the glue. I do not replace patches that don't stick.

Can I Iron A Patch to Nylon/Leather/Vinyl/Etc?

Please remember: DO NOT apply iron-on patches to waterproof rainwear, rayon, nylon, velvet, acrylic, minky, leather, vinyl, or any other fabrics with finishes, elastics or heat sensitivity. If you're unsure, test with an iron on a hidden seam or hem to see if the fabric accepts the heat without damage. A hot iron may melt these fabrics. Consider using a fabric glue such as E6000 to apply. Tightly woven knits, like t-shirt materials, will be good for iron-on patches.

No, our patches are not imported. All patches are made to order. Most patches can be customized to your color preferences as well. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like to swap out some colors!
