📚 Why Montessori Clip Cards? ***

✔ The Montessori clothespin card is a fantastic tool. It allows you to perfect certain skills (matching alphabets, arithmetic, counting, etc.) while simultaneously developing fine motor skills!
✔ It also allows for self-correction by the child! Indeed, simply place a cross behind the card where the correct answer is so that the child can correct themselves.
✔ The clothespin card is a common activity in Montessori; it meets one of the criteria of Montessori scientific materials, namely self-correction, and always isolates one and only one difficulty.

*** Instructions for use ***
To use them, simply print the files, laminate the sheets for added durability (or put them in plastic sleeves), and then cut out the cards. You will then need clothespins (hence the name clothespin cards…) and (at least) one child. Find them here =>

In Montessori pedagogy, all learning is sensory. The more a child manipulates objects, the easier they will learn!


* phonological awareness = being able to perceive, identify and manipulate sounds within a word
Phonological awareness allows us to perceive, segment, and manipulate the sounds of language, syllables, and rhymes. Phonological awareness plays an important role in learning to read and write.
