This pendant is hand made from fused glass in my small workshop in the Massif Central.

The pendant comes with a 50 cm waxed rope necklace and a small polishing cloth for cleaning and shining the glass. I then place the pendant into a fabric gift bag then pack it all in a kraft coloured gift box, ready to wear or to give as a present.

My pendants are made entirely by hand. I choose pieces of glass in colours and patterns that work well together, then begin the fusing process, shaping the glass as it melts and reforms. When I like the shape, I let it cool. Once it has cooled, I reshape it using a grinder, to remove any bumps and sharp edges. The piece is then polished, and fixed onto a bail with resin, to give a very secure fix to the glass.

I test all the metal components used in my jewellery for nickel using a nickel test. If nickel is detected, I do not use them. I hand-craft the pendant bails from aluminium, and the waxed cord necklace fastener is made from a coated copper alloy.
