This gold speckled watercolor rainbow mug is made with porcelain clay, hand painted with lead-free non-toxic underglazes, and coated with a food safe clear glaze. I have also hand painted gold speckles on each patch of color using real 22k gold for a little extra magic!

Anything with gold or silver on it is NOT microwave or dishwasher safe because the lusters contain real precious metals and they could react with chemicals in the dishwasher that could make the gold flake off.
Gently hand wash gold accented items with soap. Don't use anything abrasive on the gold luster because it could make it wear away.
Over time and with a lot of use, the gold may eventually get a little dull or be rubbed away in spots- but if you treat your piece gently the gold will last a lot longer.
