LANGUAGE OF FLOWERS COLLECTION

Inspired by the Victorian art of Floriography, these fragrances are designed to communicate various messages which are coded into the flowers they evoke. Floriography provided an opportunity to share sentiments that could not be easily spoken out loud at the time- every flower, color, arrangement, and presentation had complex meanings!

There was of course no definitive source as this was a subjective art with many different historical and cultural influences, so I created my "bouquets" using multiple texts for cohesion of theme, including:

BITTER ENDS
Basil, fern, lavender, datura, aloe, rhododendron
This bouquet represents a relationship that has run its course with a not-so-fond farewell, and contains symbols of mistrust, bitterness, hatred, secrecy, deceit, and a warning to beware!

COMPASSION
Chamomile, cypress, calendula, lemon balm, lily of the valley, oak
This bouquet represents sympathy, acknowledgement of grief, hope for a return to happier times, and a token of strength in the midst of adversity.

FELICITATION
Lilac, wheat, heather, clover, bay laurel
This bouquet represents warm congratulations, good luck wishes, and contains symbols of strength, success, abundance, and health.

FIRST CRUSH
Cherry blossom, violet, honeysuckle, white musk, fresh linens
This bouquet represents new love, and contains symbols of ardent affection, sweet innocence, and rebirth and renewal as life continually changes.

LOVE EVERLASTING
Orange blossom, rose, ivy, jasmine tea, ginger lily
This bouquet represents the unbreakable bond between soulmates and contains symbols of devotion, loyalty, dedication, amiability, and pure love.

MEA CULPA
Raspberry, hyacinth, peony, olive branch, tulip
This bouquet represents remorse for wrongdoing, a bashful and heartfelt apology, desire for forgiveness, and a hope for peace.

TEMPTATION
Amaretti, tuberose, jasmine, apple, lime blossom, vanilla
This scandalous bouquet represents dangerous pleasures, temptation, indiscretion, heady foolishness, and undeniable sensuality.

UNREQUITED
Yellow carnation, clove, dead leaves, wormwood, currant, narcissus
This bouquet represents the pain of unrequited love, and contains symbols of loss, bitterness, melancholy, rejection and disappointment.

Each scent shot weighs approximately 1.25-1.75 ounces in a 2 ounce recyclable plastic shot cup.
Use: Scent shots can easily be cut into halves or even thirds for multiple melting, but depending on the reservoir capacity of your warmer you could
use the whole thing for a more potent scent experience!
Do not leave unattended.
Do not add water or other liquid to wax.
Follow the manufacturer instructions for your wax warmer.
Please use caution and keep out of the reach of children and pets.

Willow WaxCraft wax melts are handmade using a paraffin and soy wax blend-this blend has excellent hot and cold scent retention, and has a higher melting point than straight soy-which may help prevent full melting when exposed to warm temperatures in shipment. I still encourage popping your wax melts in the freezer or simply allowing to set at room temperature for a while before opening if they have been in a hot mailbox for any length of time.
I use the maximum amount of fragrance oil recommended for the wax I use,
but throw may vary by scent and the size of the room you use for melting.
Replace wax after scent fades.
I find that if your warmer has a removable dish, cooling and then placing it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes allows the wax to pop out easily.

My scents are all hand blended by me with high quality, Dibutyl Phthalate-free fragrance oils, essential oils and absolutes, and aromachemicals that perform well in wax and other mediums- these are all unique blends that you won't find anywhere else. Willow WaxCraft melts are poured in small batches, so minor variations in color and glitter decoration may occur. But therein lies the charm of handmade!

I have a range of scents that will appeal to those who like more traditional candle scents with unexpected twists, and more adventurous types who enjoy the atmospheric and evocative and occasionally peculiar and bizarre.
I'm inspired by nature, classic literature, film, music, my own memories, etc. and therefore each scent contains my own unique interpretations, impressions, and perceptions-which may or may not match what you'd expect. My interests are too varied and ever-evolving to commit to any kind of formal, official "fandom" collections, but if you get any of my references as a fellow fan, we'll share a knowing wink and a nod, yes?
