I take great care to package all of my items. I use rigid mailers, boxes, envelopes, as well as poly and bubble mailers. I try to use previously used mailers and packing materials so that at least they are used more than once. I have now purchased biodegradable poly-mailers so that almost everything (except bubble wrap and some packing airbags and popcorn that I've collected) can be recycled or composted. I use some "green" scotch tape and am looking into more eco-friendly packing tape. ♻️

Often, when you purchase more than one item, the cost of the shipping automatically increases to a larger amount to compensate for more items being added to a shipment. Usually, the extra amount is not required. If this happens, I refund postage overages over $5 CAN. --- If I have made an error in the shipping price and it is higher than what is quoted to you, to be fair in this regard, I may ask for the difference before I fulfil the order.

Because of Trump’s tariff war - many items being sent to the US carry a 35% tariff. Effective August 29, 2025, there will no longer be a de minimis exemption for goods entering the United States. Previously, items under $800 were tariff free. I am one of many small businesses on Etsy that has decided to do this because there are no available shipping labels set up: 1) to allow customers to pre-pay these costs 2) which detail that tariffs have been paid so customs can verify it and allow passage of the goods. Hopefully Etsy/Canada Post will create new labels (DDP) which detail that the tariff has been pre-paid by the recipient. If you want to discuss some other shipping options - please contact me.
