Nice old wooden stave bucket from the early 1900's. It is painted gray with barn red painted metal bands and handle. The hole in the side was for attaching a nipple to feed a nursing calf so the farmer didn't have to hold a bottle to feed. The staves are still tight as are the bands, and the interior shows the wear of many years of use. It may have been used to hold a plant at one time. The handle will occasionally come loose from the hook on one side but is easily put back on. It has so much character and would make a beautiful decorating item for any primitive, rustic-style farmhouse.
