DESCRIPTION : a are & delightful original antique hand coloured engravings from Buffon's Histoire Naturelle - an encyclopedic work on the "natural sciences" at the time, including what would now be called material science, physics, chemistry and technology as well as the natural history of animals.
It has been said that "Truly, Buffon was the father of all thought in natural history in the second half of the 18th century"

CONDITION : this is an original antique print - as such there may be varying signs of aging... so please look at the photos carefully - the first photo shows the entire print - convo me for additional photos
