Handmade stoneware speckled clay ring dish with a hand painted nude figure and orange fruit design.

Hand built using the pinch pot technique, painted with slip and then fired. After the first firing I then hand paint the surfaces using vivid and colourful under-glazes in a fruit design. First painting shapes in colour, it is then glazed with a transparent glaze and is put in the kiln for a second firing.

I recommend using sticky pads as the base of the vase will be un-glazed and so textured.
