This is for 1- piece of polished Petrified Wood, you get the one shown. Both sides are shown. This is older stock from the Pacific Northwest, Washington and Oregon area, collected over 15-20 years ago and polished. You can use it in your art and much more. Photographed in front of an inch ruler.

Petrified Wood- is an agate replacement of the cellular structure of wood. Deformation at the microscopic level occurs when minerals invade, but the original wood grain pattern is often quite evident. Several geologic processes cause petrification, the two most common being lava flowing over trees and trees being inundated by mud. The long hardening process turns wood into a composite of jasper, agate and other minerals, typically in shades of brown, but red, orange, yellow, white and green are not uncommon. Petrified wood is the State gem of Washington and the State stone of Mississippi. Petrified wood is a vitality and disease protection stone. Its principal characteristic - great age and solidified change - helps one with past life recall during meditation. (Lower Chakras)
