This Neonatal Resource book (updated for 2026) has 118 pages filled with tons of information that any nurse caring for a sick or premature baby may need. It is a reference source to supplement your hospital policies and education. Over my 27 years as a NICU RN/RNC-NIC/NICU Transport RN, I have come across lots of great learning materials that I wanted to put together and share with you. I did my best to validate all information by verifying with policies and education from hospitals with the top rated NICUs. Topics include labor & delivery terminology that relates to the fetus, golden hour nursing care, lab work interpretation, blood gas analysis, medications, hydrops, blood transfusion, TTN, RDS, x-ray Interpretation, NICU procedures, ventilator modes, PPHN, HIE, aEEG interpretation, NEC, congenital heart defects and many more topics.

Pages are printed on high quality paper. It has a plastic cover on front and back. Bound by a metal coil in one of many colors (listed below). Small enough to fit in a pocket or your work bag (approximately 5”x7”x0.75”).

This is the perfect resource for the nurse that is newer to Level 3 NICU, any Level 2 NICU nurse, nurses in smaller hospitals that may not work with premature or sick newborns often or the skilled, advanced nurse that is looking for a review.
