For more impact go for gold or silver embroidery metallic thread and for a more subtle option I would suggest ecru (which is very nice in my opinion). Sometimes the shawls have to be completely white - even the text. In this case I will use a larger font to help the text stand out.

Was really happy with shawl and bib not so happy with socks had lace to match bib but as it was for my grandson they were very girly looking.
