How do your patterns work?

All our patterns come as PDF files and need to be printed out on paper. You can use the poster print function if you want to scale your pattern or simply work with the pre-sliced version that works for US letter and A4 formats. In addition, all files include a simple guide on how to put them together. You can also find short crafting videos linked in the product file or product description. I also made a detailed step-by-step video on how to work with our patterns on our YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/xXjssMwKRZg?si=jqMT8tBFghV9qwhQ Please also check other videos on our channel as we show you how to work with EVA foam, how to prime and paint, how to scale patterns and so much more! https://www.youtube.com/@KamuiCosplay/videos

Can you make me a costume / prop?

We do not accept any commissions at this time and we also don't have a lot of time to help out with tips for personal projects. Our work primarily focuses on teaching different costume creation techniques through our YouTube videos, crafting books and patterns. If you're wondering why we don't take commissions, here is a little video about that: https://youtu.be/cP6xvixbrSg

Can you make me a tutorial book / pattern for a specific project?

You can find all available products here in our own shop on www.kamuicosplay.com or in our Etsy Store. Please understand that we do not create tutorials, books or patterns on request. Instead, we try to keep our books and patterns as basic as possible, so they can be used for a huge variety of different projects. We simply believe this helps a wider range of people and might even inspire others to create their own designs and be more creative. However, we always keep on working on new products and hope you can find something that is helpful for your project as well.

I can't print anything out at home. What shall I do?

All our patters are digital files that need to be printed on paper. Visiting a printing store might help you here. It should be not a problem to print out the pre-sliced version of the pattern at 100% scale. However, it might get tricky if you want so scale your pattern up or down. Here you'll need to print out the full size version of the pattern, which requires a software with a poster/tiled print function. Not all printing stores offer this service though, so please be aware of this issue.

How long does it take until I'll receive my order?

We are selling only digital products, that should be instantly available after your purchase. Etsy will sent you an order confirmation with a download link for your file. You can also access all your files by following these steps: 1. Log in to your Etsy account 2. Click on “You” (top right) 3. Choose “Purchases and reviews” 4. Find the order. Click on “Download Files” (to the right of the order) 5. The file will go to your “Downloads” folders

My Crusader Leg Armor Pattern can be easily scaled, altered or combined with other armor designs and costume pieces. Just use it as your starting point, then add more layers or details and give it your own spin! 100% scale is based on my own height (174cm, 5'7). Print the patterns larger or smaller to fit your own body size.

I recommend using 5mm low or high density EVA foam as well as contact cement to create these pieces. Other materials work as well of course!

You can find more instructions on how to make costume pieces and props in my tutorial books or on my YouTube channel.

This Crusader Leg Armor Pattern is a digital PDF download. After your purchase you can directly download your document.

These patterns are scalable! This way you can create a perfect fit - for yourself, your kids or even your pets! To print these files we recommend to use the poster print / tiled print option to print them over multiple pages. You can use the free Foxit PDF Reader or Adobe Acrobat. You’ll find more useful printing instructions inside the downloaded file! Have fun crafting! There is also an optional pre-sliced version that you can print on both US letter and European A4 paper formats.

Files printed very nicely and pattern was easy to figure out and assemble. Armor is designed based on someone who is 5’7, but was very easy to modify for my measurements. I am 5’3 and trimmed down the shin piece as well as lengthened the thigh piece to fit my measurements. Armor has very good range of motion and is easy to walk in. I can’t wait to get it painted!! Highly recommend this pattern! (Sorry if the video linked has poor lighting, I filmed at night)
