This panel is a stunning vintage crewelwork textile, wool embroidery on cotton and wool blend ground. I was very fortunate to be offered a large collection of these fabulous textiles. This is one from the collection. I can't get over the time it must have taken to make these amazing pieces. The collection dates from late 1800's to mid 1970's , difficult to say exactly on these textiles. They make fabulous bedcovers, upholstery fabric, tablecloths, wall hangings, shower curtains ( with plastic between the shower and textile) living room throws, you name it!~ they can be cut to make two curtains etc ~ They are absolutely remarkable pieces, each unique and wonderful in its own way! ITEM SPECIFICS : This textile has a very odd shape!!~ I wonder what it was used for ? ~ It narrows towards each end ~ It would be ideal for upholstery projects, pillows etc as I can't imagine what the shape would be useful for! ~The colors are beautiful , greens and pale blues!


MEASUREMENTS: This textile measures approximately : 156 inches long from tip to tip and at the center it's by 62 wide at the most ~


CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. This textile should be dry cleaned only as the embroidered design is all wool ~ It's in lovely condition indeed! Only light signs of time and use ~ LOVELY pattern
