I first purchased a print for myself from the incredibly talented Elly McKay more than a decade ago. at that time, my youngest child was a few years old, and he loved to snuggle in my bed with me and look at the calming picture. A couple years later my family went through a huge trauma. When my son was about seven , he expressed that he would love to have a piece of her artwork in his room so I bought one for his birthday. over the years I purchased him two more and this year for his 16th birthday bought him this beautiful 16 x 20 print. A few months before his 16th birthday he made a comment to me that when he’s older and has money, he wants to fill his house with her art. It warms my heart so much that even into his teen years he still has such a deep connection to her art. Mahalo nui loa
