Stained saddle brown with leather dye, this gourd bowl is 8" in diameter and 6.5" tall. The interior is painted flat black. Strips of brown leather lacing come up the sides and are woven with shades of turquoise, teal and green Brazilian Waxed Polycord and silver toned craft wire. Danish Cord dyed to match the gourd is coiled at the rim using the same threads. The colors of the thread match the beautiful wavy piece of handblown glass on the front. Under the glass small beads hand from threads that match the weaving on the side. Sewn on base at the bottom of the gourd is a wooden ring wrapped with the same leather lacing on the sides of the gourd. This is a unique piece of art that is signed and dated on the bottom.
