Gift wrapping and packaging

Hello Vintage Fans! I try my absolute best to make your vintage or antique item as secure and attractively packaged as possible. For Jewelry, I will present the piece(s) in an organza draw string pouch and/or a neutral colored gift box appropriate to the size of the piece you purchase. For very fragile items such as glass, china, pottery etc, I will double box package when appropriate and use ample bubble wrap and recycled paper products.

I believe that reusing, up-cycling and re-purposing vintage and antique treasures should be a huge option for people that want to fight against the unfortunate trend to throw away and replace. In today's throw away culture, we produce so much waste and recycle such a small percentage of thrown away items. I passionately believe that we can save the planet with one vintage and antique purchase at a time. I thank you for helping me with this quest!

What's special about your vintage items?

Well...I'd like to believe that my artistic eye and discerning taste prevents me from presenting any "stinkers" to you all! But I do realize that there';s a lot of the same sort of thing on Etsy... so why buy it from DWHRetroFabulous? I am obsessive about finding perfectly preserved vintage items. 90% of the inventory I present to you is in excellent vintage condition. Some of my stock is what's referred to as "Old New Stock" which means it did not get used even once since it was made and is essentially NEW. The other 10% is in REALLY good condition and it's priced accordingly. I DO NOT sell damaged or heavily worn items..I wouldn't want to buy them so why would I expect my buyers to?

When will my package ship?

I’m a stickler for quick shipping. I know that many shops have a 1-3 day handling period I’m which they find your piece, pack it and ship it. Which is great for the average small business… but I want to do a bit better. I literally ship the same business day if I get you order before 3pm pacific time in California… otherwise, it goes out the next day at 9am. Part of my customer service is superior secure packaging and speed! Why should you have to wait 3 more days to get your treasures?!

Where do you find your merchandise?

I find your future treasures in all kinds of places around my area and the rest of the country. My main haunts are estate sales and vintage thrift shops. I feel the most high quality items, that have the highest level of preservation can be found at estate sales. Thrift shops are excellent for more robust items such as metal and heavy pottery pieces. Good old garage sales and flea markets round out my regular searching places! My goal is quality! It needs to be in at least good to excellent condition before I even look at it.

I run sales pretty regularly. If a piece is already on sale, I will most likely ask you to wait until the sale ends to consider a higher discount. If you are planning to buy multiple pieces I can sometimes work with you on lowering an already discounted price, depending on the merchandise. If an item is not on sale and you would like to purchase it for a lower price, please feel free to send me a message and I’d be happy to negotiate as long as it’s within reason and not at a personal financial loss. I will be adding a section with heavily discounted items that have not sold in over six months soon(2022)… this will be a great opportunity to purchase very high-quality vintage items at fantastic prices.

An antique, circa late Qianlong to early Republic era enameled porcelain bowl. Beautifully Hand Painted and Intricately Enameled Large Bowl made in China and imported to the USA market in the early 20th century.

This large and stately bowl is embossed with a combination of handsomely colored Iron Red, Pink and Purple Peony Blossoms, plum blossoms, butterflies and various geometric and pinwheel elements in blues, lavender and gold…Excellent Condition with no chips or cracks and measures approximately. 10” in diameter x 4-5/8” high.

This Bowl Would Dress Up Any Book Shelf, Side table, Entry/ Foyer Table, Coffee table or Dining Room Table.

This bowl is in the typical Chinese style of enamel florals …which shows flat areas of design and raised areas of glossy enamel. The one thing that is a little bit special about the piece is the color scheme that is more vibrant and varied with beautiful tans, peach, gold, blue, orange and greens and glossy white enamels with gold accents.

Marked on the underside with old Qianlong Reign Mark and an over mark for export. The earlier reign mark is turn of the century or earlier.

NOTE: the wooden stand is not included.
