18 inch doll dress pattern - Regency Evening Gown PDF Sewing Pattern hand made for AG Dolls

This elegant 18 inch doll dress pattern is for a Regency Evening Gown. While the Regency era officially occurred between 1811 and 1820, the fashion styles that are commonly called Regency had a larger timeline that spanned from the late 1700s to around 1825 and were first inspired by classic Grecian dresses. The empire waistline and short sleeves were predominant during this time. There were many variations in the bodice waistline and styles for sleeves. The early period was more Grecian and the later period more ornamental.

This dress pattern has a square neckline with rounded edges, a full-length skirt that is gathered in the back and several sleeve options. The first sleeve is a petal sleeve with gathers at the shoulder, and the second and third are two puff sleeves with a difference in the fullness of the sleeve. The puff sleeves each have a cuff. The skirt is full length with gathers in the back and extends to just above the doll’s shoes. There is also an option to line the skirt if using a semi-sheer fabric. There are two lines at the center back bodice to use for a smaller and larger size doll.

o Cotton Batiste, China silk, or a lightweight cotton for the lining
