Rococo porcelain figurine of a dancing couple, delicate porcelain lace, rose gold, romantic Baroque decoration for collectors, Victorian style statue

18x24x15 cm (HxWxD), 1.8 kg.

The elegant group of figures is exceptionally delicate and so detailed that one can never tire of admiring them. The dancing couple impresses with its elaborate craftsmanship, especially the lady's skirt, which is made using the rare porcelain lace technique.

The skirt's delicate, net-like structure is created using porcelain lace (often called "Dresden Lace"). Real textile lace is dipped into liquid porcelain slip and draped over the figure's body. During firing in the kiln, the fabric burns away completely, while the gossamer-thin layer of porcelain hardens, permanently preserving the lace's intricate texture. This technique is extremely fragile and considered a masterpiece of porcelain art.

Rendered in delicate pink and vibrant red, and finished with fine gold accents, this figure is a prime example of romantic vintage style and classic craftsmanship.
