This offer includes an Aurora 98 Fountain Pen in its Original Gift Box. The 14K solid gold nib is a great smooth wet writer with excellent ink flow and soft bounce which gives a very pleasant writing experience. The pen shows high-quality Italian craftsmanship; Looking at the quality and texture, the cap of this pen seems to be made of Sterling Silver with Platinum-plating (no markings to confirm though). The pen is in great condition. Has some signs of use commensurate with its age. There are no dents, major scratches, or cosmetic flaws. There WAS an early formation of hairline underside the nib section; it has been professionally restored and tested extensively; there will be no problem with the item. This is a Cartridge / Converter Fountain Pen; original converter NOT included, but an alternate converter will be provided. The pen will come professionally cleaned in ultrasonic bath and ready for your choice of ink.

(2) Whether brand new or preowned, all items sold by us are 100% genuine. There are NO fakes here. The photos are of the real item which you will receive; Sometimes we offer brand new factory-sealed items of which we cannot take photos (because the package is sealed) and in such cases we provide sample/stock photos and do indicate the same.
(3) Sometimes we offer 'Brand New' items from our personal collection. These are OLD NEW STOCK. We cannot test such items with ink and hence, we are unable to qualify the functioning of such old new stocks with 100% guarantee! We do, however, thoroughly inspect the item visually, check for any imperfections, if the piston is moving or not (for piston-filler pens), if the converter is working or not (for cartridge-converter pens), check how the nib feels in dry 'ghost writing' on normal pad (without ink) etc. and include our findings in the description.
(4) For all preowned / vintage pens, we thoroughly test that they are fully functional before listing the items. We do one final inspection test of every preowned pen with ink before packing them to make sure you receive a functional pen. Note, we clean the pens before shipping but sometimes there could be a little residual ink in the nib/feed which will easily go away after a flush or two.
(5) If you are buying a pre-owned item, particularly, any vintage items, please remember that the product is NOT coming out fresh from the factory; therefore, it’s natural that there may be some minor cosmetic or functional issues (even new products may have issues though).
(6) We try to describe our items accurately, honestly, and with as much details as possible but some minor points which may be utterly insignificant from our personal perspective or escaped our attention may be of very big importance to you! We do NOT recommend our items for purchase by such customers who are unreasonably picky! Please do NOT buy without reading the full description and before checking all the photos.
(7) Please understand, we are not the product manufacturer; except for describing them accurately, we are NOT responsible for any quality issues of the items.
