Sturdy, thick, insulated and long lasting.
Constructed with 4 layers of protective cotton and metallic batting.
You can also use them as hot pads or trivets to protect your counter tops and tables. My potholders and oven mitts are heat RESISTANT, not heat PROOF. Please use caution when placing extremely hot pans on them, and when removing hot items from the oven. :)
