The pattern is pretty straightforward. There is video on youtube that explains how to sew the final seam to avoid mixing things up. The key is you will sew from the center front to the seam of the hood. Flip RS out. Then do it again. Also, I have an average-large head and used minky. The scarf was too short to wrap twice over my head. So, like another poster, I made my second version with an extra 8" in length (added 4" to the center front on the fold) and it was perfect. So, be prepared to play around.

Nice pattern. Pdf pages lined up well, and the construction was straightforward for someone with sewing experience. The only slight issue is that the cowl doesn't wrap twice round my neck as I have a large head and have used a thick fabric! Hopefully it will fit my mum who it's a gift for - but just a warning if you're making for someone with a larger than average head/neck that it may need lengthening.

The pattern was perfect! Well marked and easy to understand. I altered it slightly to be a bit more accurate to my costume, but I'm considering making these as gifts for people too!
