*Please Read Item Description Thoroughly Measurements Include Below*

These are really wonderful black wool 1850s -1870s youth boots. They have never been worn and are a wonderful piece of history. The boots lace up with the top hitting just below mid calf with a scalloped opening. They have a square toe and a small stacked leather heel. The inside of the shoes are canvas with the top structured with kid leather.

Condition:
The shoes are in great condition with only one spot of damage. The fabric is worn on the left boot inside the ball of the foot. It is also discolored to a brown color. There are a few small scuffs to the toes as well but they are only noticeable close up. These are a wonderful pair to add to any collection.

Size: these shoes were probably never worn as they are a small size and may have been purchased for a child to wear and they outgrew them before they needed them or perhaps they were never sold. They are still in great condition but should not be worn. The length and width and height will be provided, outside measures only.

Please check the measurements closely for determining fit. I do not give sizes for vintage items as women's sizes are not standardized and a majority of these dresses were homemade or specialty made to fit one person. If you have any questions about the fit feel free to ask, I am happy to help.

Also if you happen to want more photos of anything please feel free to ask I am happy to provide them.

I am happy to do layaway on all items over $100.

Returns are accepted. Please review my full return policy before purchasing. It can be found in the FAQ section or is available upon request. Buyers in the European Union have additional rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

All items are lovingly packed for safe travels and the experience of buying a (mostly) one of a kind piece.

Antique ca. 1850s -1870s

Product safety:

Please keep in mind that all vintage items should be worn with care and at the buyer’s discretion.

Shoes:
Shoes are inspected for overall condition, and any visible issues are disclosed. However, not all shoes have been worn-tested, so there is a chance that hidden or age-related weaknesses may appear during use. Some pairs have been tested, but even then, unexpected damage can occur. Materials like plastic or rubber soles are more likely to deteriorate over time compared to leather. Additionally, exposure to moisture or extreme climates can accelerate deterioration, so care should be taken when wearing or storing them.

Delicate Materials:
Older fabrics can be more fragile and prone to damage—avoid overstretching, excessive friction, or prolonged stress at seams and closures.

Embellishments & Metal Parts:
If the garment includes embellishments, beading, or metal components, inspect for any loose parts before wearing. We carefully assess each piece before listing, but age and handling can affect structural integrity over time.

Cleaning Instructions:
Hand washing or professional dry cleaning is generally recommended. Always refer to any original care tags or the included care card, as not all vintage garments are suitable for laundering. If you're unsure about a specific fabric or piece, feel free to contact us for guidance.

Steaming & Ironing:
When steaming or ironing vintage garments, proceed with caution. Some older synthetic or blended fabrics can trap steam and may distort, bubble, or melt if exposed to direct heat. Always test on an inconspicuous area first, use low settings, and place a pressing cloth between the fabric and heat source when ironing.

Thank you for giving this piece a second life.
Your care ensures its beauty endures for many more years to come.
