Price Reduced - An exceptional antique French textile dresser tray from the Edwardian period/early 1900s - in the style of Marie Antoinette. It consists of a heavy cardboard base covered in rose pink silk damask fabric, trimmed in gold metallic lame trim. On top are 4 engraving/lithos that are portraits of elegant French ladies, surrounded by metallic lace - with glass on top. A super special piece.

The bottom is covered in faded green felt and has four feet, 2 original and 2 replaced - geri-rigged with a brass finding and an upholstery tack. You could replace all the feet to match, or just remove them; tray would then be flat on the bottom.

There is an old water stain around one section of the outside edge and one small break in the lame edge trim. Nonetheless, the images, lace, trim and rest of the fabric are fantastic, and the glass is excellent. A one of a kind piece, sold as is (and priced accordingly). I think I can finally bear to part with it - hope I don't change my mind.
