Pad Construction- What is Zorb®???
The inner soaker layer and backing of all pads are made with Zorb® Silver which has SILVADUR (silver ions) to make them antimicrobial and keep bacteria, fungi, and algae from growing on the fabric (which in turn controls odors and keeps fabrics smelling fresh). This American-made material is a blend of 28% cotton, 26% Tencel, 23% bamboo viscose, 13% polyester, 10% nylon. These 2 layers of Zorb can replace up to 6 layers of French terry, 8 layers of flannel, and 5 layers of fleece! Fewer layers of material means a thinner, more comfortable pad that can hold up to ½ Cup or 4 Oz of fluid! All Zorb® fabrics will keep their super absorbency for the lifetime of the fabric and only get MORE absorbent as time goes by. Zorb® can absorb 10X its weight in less than 2 seconds so you have a fast-absorbing pad that can hold A LOT! It is also 100% free of PFOS, PFOA, lead, dioxins, heavy metals, BPA, and phthalates, making them good for YOU and the PLANET!

How to wash your pads:
Step 1: Remove pad from underwear, and toss it into a wet bag/menstrual bag. You may rinse pads first but don't have to.
Step 2: At the end of your cycle/week, toss all pads and wet bag into the washer and do a Quick Cold Rinse with NO detergent.
Step 3: After rinse, check and treat any stains.
Step 4: Do a hot or warm wash with pad-safe detergent (see recs below).
Step 5: Throw pads but NOT wet bag into the dryer on Low/Med, or hang dry.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE bleach, borax, acidic detergents/detergents with a lot of salts, dryer sheets or fabric softeners, as these can decrease absorbency and shorten the life of your pads.

Recommended Detergents/stain removers
Detergents to use: A few common ones that can be found in stores or online are: Earth Breeze, Seventh Generation, Simple Truth, Tru Earth, Ecos, Wild Harvest, Dr. Bronners, Thieves, Heritage Park, and Meliora.
Stain Removers: Natural stain remover spray: 1 part Hydrogen Peroxide to 3 parts water (store in dark-colored spray bottle), 1 Tablespoon Baking soda during initial cold rinse,
Kind Laundry- Vegan Stain Remover bar, unscented, or Fels-Naptha Laundry Bar and Stain Remover, unscented.
Many mainstream detergents will actually reduce the absorption capabilities and durability of cloth pads (such as Tide, Xtra, Gain, Purex, ALL, Dreft, Arm & Hammer, Mrs. Meyers, and Persil so it's best to avoid them. Using Oxi-Clean is also not recommended but many people DO use it.
