Originating in the Mills of West Yorkshire, England during the early 1970's, Our set of 3 retro art prints were originally hand painted in repeat to facilitate the pattern's transfer in to woven furnishing fabric. The prints show the patterns in vibrant purple and orange along with the weave technicians pencil lines and written instructions. In the design studio the art was transferred on to squared graph paper called point papers that were prescribed with the weave formulas to be developed. The point papers were then read to create binary data cut into punched loom cards which were read by the jacquard loom that formed the pattern into woven fabric.

Each piece of art is professionally printed on high-quality 300gsm card, carefully packaged and sent to you unframed along with more information on who each piece was designed by, where, and for what company or mill.
