**A Witch's Knot represents the 'knot magic' that was practiced by witches in the Middle Ages. For example, a protective witch's knot like this was often scratched over doorways to keep away negative energy. It is made of two interwoven potent symbols: The circle, which is universal, and the four-cornered knot, which is Gaelic and can be drawn in one continuous motion without lifting pen from paper. The circle is an ancient symbol used to represent an almost endless number of concepts: the sun, earth, moon, planets, God, eternity, perfection, totality, the continuity of life, heaven, protection, and the universe. TO ADHERE:
1. Preheat your iron - HIGH HEAT
2. Place the patch with the sticky side down onto the garment. Make sure it is exactly where you want it to be. Cover it with a cloth or parchment paper.
3. Place the iron onto the design and press firmly. Move the iron around the design area for about 30 seconds.
4. Remove the topping and check the patch, If there are still parts that did not adhere repeat the steps above*.
5. Let the patch cool before stitching around the edges (a straight stitch or zig-zag stitch works best)

*NOTE* the patch may not adhere properly to all surfaces, especially canvas or thicker fabrics.

I try to use recycled items for as many of my creations as possible. This includes a lot of scrap fabric & backing, salvaged spools of threads and gently used clothing & other fiber materials. Due to the nature of limited recycled materials, many of my creations are one-of-a-kind or made in very small batches.
