Do you allow returns?

We are only able to offer returns in cases where the stones were damaged in transit. You must contact us within 7 days of receipt of your stones if there are any issues. Unfortunately we are not able to offer returns of partial sets of stones.

Can I choose my own stones?

Unfortunately we're not able to allow customers to choose stones or take photographs of stones for customers for individual stone purchases. If you're interested in a custom order of 5 sets of stones or more, please let us know and it may or may not be possible for us to accommodate.

How fast will you ship my order?

Any orders placed prior to 4pm Pacific Time M-F will ship out SAME DAY unless otherwise specified in handling time. This means that you’ll receive your stones as quickly as possible! Many of our West Coast customers report receiving their stones in 1-2 business days and East Coast customers typically receive their stones in 3-5 business days.

Can you create earring pairs or honor specific requests?

Yes! As a metalsmith-owned company, we’re happy to honor your requests for a coordinating earring pair, preferred shape or color profile, subject to availability. Feel free to leave a note in the order comments if you have a specific request for any of the stones in your order.

Are your round stones calibrated?

Our round stones are artisanally cut by hand rather than machine-cut, but we’ve been working with our lapidarists to be able to source most of our round stones in sizes that would fit a pre-made bezel cup. If you would like calibrated round stones, please leave a note in the order comments and we will honor that request subject to availability.

Are your stones responsibly/ethically sourced?

We consider our stones to be ethically sourced and cut. We create positive, open and collaborative relationships with our family of suppliers and we've requested that they source only from mines that follow ethical standards of safety and pay a fair wage. We also ensure that our stones are cut in a 'fair trade' manner in which the lapidary stone cutters set their own rates and work in their own facilities (often their homes).

Do you run your business in an environmentally responsible manner?

We constantly seek new ways to minimize our environmental impact and give back to environmental non-profits that protect and restore forest land. Our commitment includes running our offices on 100% renewable energy, using recycled paper packaging, minimizing our use of plastics and reusing plastic bags wherever we can in our processes.

ABOUT OUR STONES:

Natural: Lucidity Gemstones are natural, made by mother earth herself (with no dyes, fillers etc.) and will have some inclusions, internal color variations and other small "imperfections" that add character, mood and beauty to the stones.

Quality: We take great care to select the best hand cut stones for every set we offer. Our gemstones are precision cut to enhance the intrinsic beauty of the high quality natural rough materials they are made from.

Easy to Set: Our gemstones feature thick, high domes that range from about 3 - 6mm (2-3x thicker than typical rose cut or smooth cabochons available on the market). This makes them much easier to set, gives jewelry a more elegant, valuable and substantial look, and allows light to illuminate the stone from the sides and shine through when set in a bezel. The stones are also thick enough to set in a handmade prong setting.

Brilliant Color: Our stones are hand selected to offer intense color saturation and color variations. We make an effort to accurately represent the gemstones' color in our product images, but it's important to note that different screens and brightness settings can change the way the colors may appear. Lucidity's gemstones are photographed on a white background using a lightbox with LED lighting.
