Inspired by the style of Cotehardie dresses (also known as kirtle) worn in Europe in the 1340s, this floor length fitted gown pattern has a lot of options so you can make it your own!

This sewing pattern pack features a 4 panel dress block that can be laced up the front, back, or sides of the dress. Also included is an optional gore panel that can be added to the sides or center seams to provide extra volume to the skirt. The pack also features 3 different sleeve options- a traditional 'S’ curve sleeve, a short sleeve and a long split sleeve, perfect for layering!

Designed to take some of the mystery out of making medieval garments, this pattern uses modern sewing techniques and pattern markings, but a lot of hand sewing is still recommended to give your finished costume an authentic, handmade feel.

Pattern includes PDF files in 8 sizes for a medieval dress. For added modularity, this pattern is also compatible with our sleeve packs!

Our patterns are formatted in rows of up to 7 pages so that they can be assembled on a standard sized dining room table.
