Heather Skirt & Top 18 inch Dolls Pattern Fits Dolls such as American Girl® - PDF

The Heather top and skirt pattern is a chic and trendy ensemble that features a cropped top and ruffled skirt.

The top features a ruched bodice with wide waistband. It has long straps on the shoulders that tie into a bow.

There are two versions of the Heather skirt. One skirt has two layers of ruffles while the other one has three layers of ruffles.

The skirt can be made using a regular woven fabric or soft tulle or lace material.

Materials:

For the Top:
• ¼ yard lightweight woven fabrics such as calico, quilting cotton, poplin, gauze, eyelet, gingham etc.
• 1/8” yard thin lining fabric such as broadcloth, poplin, poly lining
• Hook and loop tape or snaps

For the Skirt
• 1/3 yard lightweight woven fabric such as calico, poplin, gauze, quilting cotton, chiffon, polyester fabric
• Or 1/3 yard of soft tulle or lace if preferred (please note that stiff tulle or lace would not work for this style)
• 1/4” yard thin lining fabric such as broadcloth, poplin, poly lining
• Hook and loop tape or snaps

This pattern is made to fit most 18 inch dolls including Our Generation, American Girl®, My Life as Dolls and Maplelea.
