This is an electronic download pattern for a tapered clergy stole. You can download the instruction booklet as either a single-sided or double-sided printing format. Pattern pieces are found in the 3rd file.
Originally published in PDF in 2013, it has been thoroughly revised as of September 19, 2023.
What you need to know about this pattern before you purchase:
1….This is NOT a beginner’s sewing pattern. The price of the pattern does NOT include help with the instructions. 95% of people who have purchased my patterns have no trouble following the directions. See my shop policies for more information.
2….The tapered clergy stole has shaping that curves around the neck. It is approximately 3” at the center back and tapers to just under 5” at the ends. The tapered stole lays flat against the neck and is the only style I recommend for wear under chasubles. It also looks nice over chasubles and robes.
3….The pattern is for a stole approximately 54" in length. It can be adjusted to any length you need.
4….You will need approximately 60” X 12” of fabric, backing and interfacing for this stole, but do not purchase your materials until you read the complete list of materials included in the instruction booklet (which has ALWAYS been included, contrary to what a review may say). I will soon be selling "Stole Cuts," cuts of cotton batik and silk, including matching cotton backing and the interfacing required. This will save you about 50% on supplies and reduces waste. Message me if you are interested. I am not sure when I will have time to create listings for this product.
5….There are three (3) PDF files available for download immediately after completed purchase. If you have problems with your download, I cannot help with technical issues. Please see shop policies for more information.
6….You will print the pattern on cardstock and tape or glue it together.
7….PDF FILES ARE SOLD FOR INDIVIDUAL USE ONLY. NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION OR RESALE. TO DO SO WOULD VIOLATE COPYRIGHT LAWS AND THE EIGHTH COMMANDMENT.
8….NO RETURNS ON PDF DOWNLOADS.
