•This is a textural, substantial ring, and is solid/not a hollow casting

•This ring was cast by me from recycled sterling silver. The process I used is sandcasting. A ring-shaped cavity is made in a flask of compacted sand, and molten silver is poured into the cavity to produce the ring. For every three of these I cast, one is kept, and two are melted back down because I am not happy with them.

•I finished the ring by sculpting and texturing it in spots using my file and my Foredom micro hammer. Make sure to blow up the photos of this ring- it is extremely textural.

•Like the ring, but need a different size? Get in touch. I can make similar pieces to this. Because of the unpredictable nature of sandcasting, no two rings will be alike. These rings are truly one of a kind.

•Want the ring oxidized/blackened with an overall or detail only patina? I can oxidize this and triple-coat it in archival wax for longevity for an additional $20 USD.
