Antique "Whiting & Davis" Handbag from the early 1920s. Material - aluminum and bakelite. "Alyumesh" - aluminum mesh. Enameled. Blue cotton lining of the bag.
Handle in yellow Bakelite (celluloid frame).
*Bakelite was created in 1909. And Whiting & Davis were one of the first to use it widely. The patent number is located on a tag inside the bag.
The date of this handbag is 1920-1940. This wallet was one of the "first of its kind" and is in good condition. Listed in many handbag catalogues.
