What are the beads made of?

All the beads are made of glass! If a listing says "ruby", "turquoise", "wood", "banana", etc., this is just referring to the color, not the material. ;) Specifically, the beads are Czech glass, meaning they were manufactured in the Czech Republic. I have found Czech glass beads to be particularly high quality, with such a beautiful variety of shapes, colors, and coatings.

Are the bead sizes exact?

They are not 100% accurate, and may be off by about 0.5mm. I typically just use the size information given by my suppliers. This means there will be some variation, as each factory makes the beads a little differently, and one factory's 9x6mm flowers might be a tiny bit different in shape and size from another factory's 9x6mm flowers. (Etched beads are often, but not always, a little bit smaller than non-etched beads of the same shape, since the etching process removes some material.) If you need more precise measurements, please send me a message before you buy! I'm happy to measure the beads for you. I can send photos with more exact measurements.

When will my package ship?

My processing time is 1 to 2 business days. I try my best to ship in 1 business day (especially if you order on a Thursday!), but this is a one-woman business and I have a small baby, so it may occasionally take 2 business days. (Note that, when I am traveling, your beads may take longer to ship because I'm out of town. In this case, I will put an announcement in my shop banner and shop description to let you know.) Packages ship from North Carolina, and you can choose your preferred USPS shipping speed during checkout.

What is your listing title format?

All listing titles follow the same format to make beads easier to find, which is "[number]pcs: [color name] [size] [shape name], [additional search terms], [bead ID code]". For instance "6pcs: Dusty Rose 14x6mm Wide Bellflower, ..., CG-FL-WB14x6-37". The shape names are unique; each shape of bead has its own name, so that you can search for it more easily in the shop. The color names are *not* guaranteed to be unique; there's just too many colors to name each one individually. Listing titles are subject to change, but the bead ID codes (and the shape names for the most part) should remain the same. If you're looking for a bead that you previously bought, make sure you search for the bead ID code! If it doesn't turn up, it's sold out.

Could you explain how your bead ID codes work?

Yes! All the codes have the format [category]-[subcategory]-[shape][size in mm]-[number], for instance CG-P-R4-5 for the "Baby Blue 4mm Round Druk" beads. Here, the category is "CG" for "Czech glass", the subcategory is "P" for "basic pressed beads", the shape is "R" for round druk, and the size in millimeters is "4". Lastly, the "5" refers to the color, but has no semantic meaning; for each shape I just number the bead colors in the order I receive them. You can use the ID codes to search for things more easily in the shop! Searching for "CG-P" would show you all basic pressed glass beads. Searching for "CG-P-R" would show you all druk. And searching for "CG-P-R4" would show you all 4mm druk. Hope this is useful to someone!
