Heavy duty marine zipper sewed on the 4" side piece of cushion.
I sew all of my seams twice with Sunbrella thread.
It's very easy to clean. Just hose off and air dry.

Very easy to clean:
Mix 1 Tablespoon of liquid dish detergent and 1 teaspoon of bleach with a gallon of water. Clean fabric using a sponge or soft cloth dipped in cleaning solution. Then wipe down with clean water and air dry. Or hose off in shower and air dry.
