Highlights
This lovely pendant is a replica of a motif on one side of the Athenian coins used throughout the 5th century. The helmeted head of Athena, protector of the city of Athens and the goddess of both warfare and wisdom, was on the reverse side. The owl shows an attribute of Athena - the goddess was said to have the eyes of an owl due to her ability to see what is obscure (wisdom), just as the owl can see in the dark.
The 20mm x 20mm pendant hangs on a 2mm x 2mm brass chain. The chain is raw brass so do not wear it in the shower. On request, I can send in a burlap or organza gift bag.

beautiful, just as pictured.
The necklace is very cute, but extremely lightweight (not very good quality) and if worn I'll need to replace the chain. The color also isn't blue, as it appears, but rather a tarnished black. Shipping was very fast and efficient though!
