Antique Edwardian 1910s cotton embroidered lawn dress

Antique 1900s Edwardian lawn dress covered in beautiful embroidery with lace. Lace at the waist and sleeves. Truly stunning. Made of a soft cotton organza.

Mother of pearl buttons and hook and eye closures on the back, all present. (Dress was slightly too small to button all the way when on the dress form.) Extra room in the bust for a looser fit, fitted waist, then flairs out at the hip. Fits like a women's size 0/2. Approximately ankle length. A tailor could add lace inserts at the sides for more room in the waist.

This item has been cleaned, ships in a gift box, and arrives ready to wear.

*Condition: Excellent. Some mending on the lace and seams but nothing noticeable. Overall amazing condition for its age.
**Measuring Tips:
To ensure the best fit, please measure yourself carefully and compare your measurements to the measurements of the dress. For a comfortable fit you want your body’s measurements to be the same or less than that of the dresses. For example, if the dress has a bust measurement of 34”, your bust measurement should be 34” or less, as many vintage dresses do not stretch without risking tears in the fabric. Measure at the widest part of your bust and hips and the smallest part of your waist. If you would like additional garment measurements before purchasing, please do not hesitate to ask! I am available most days and can usually answer messages right away. Please also keep in mind that some formal gowns may need altered in order to fit your body type perfectly. An experienced tailor can easily alter dresses to either let out a seam to make a dress slightly larger or longer or take in a dress to make it smaller or shorter. I am unable to provide in house alterations at this time.
