Rare find! Genuine antique homespun 100% hemp large bath towels, Rhine-red cross-stitched with large letters MR. Natural oatmeal color typical of hemp fabric, heavy weight with nubby texture as shown on photos. Dating around 1900s.

Beautiful antique new condition. Some minor storage staining from years of storage. This can be mostly removed with soaking in gentle natural soap. These have been laundered and ironed, under my care, in my home.
They would be beautiful in the kitchen for a French rustic country home feel, as hand towels. Very nice also as picnic blankets or beach towels. They can also be repurposed into any sewing creations such as pillows and furniture covers.
