Originally, I purchased the polished version of the heart disk, but it was scratched upon receipt, most likely by the birthstone. I then contacted Susan and asked about exchanging for the brushed kind. She was very accommodating and sent me new ones with no hassle. I really appreciate the amazing customer service that this seller provided, as that's so rare these days! The stamping looks great, even if you have 8 letters. The birthstone is circled by a metal ring, as you can tell, and one side of the stone protrudes more than the other. I will say that they put the side that protrudes more, facing towards the metal disk. This may or may not be your preference.
