------------------------------
A water-based interior wood dye made in England.
Easy to apply for an even finish with deep penetration.
Completely transparent and vivid colour for a lush classic look in combination with a suitable oil finish.

Free from harsh chemical solvents.
Non-toxic and a more environmentally friendly option perfect for creative woodwork and professional projects as well as home DIY.

IMPORTANT: Our Dyes are for Interior and Decorative items only.
For Toy-making (certified toy-safe) or applications that need superior lightfastness (such as artwork or outdoor projects), please use our 'Colour-Finish' range instead.

------ How to use ------
Just brush it on!
You can also use it with a sponge, roller or sprayer. This formula is free from binders and will not clog up your spray guns. Also suitable for dipping or tumbling.
However you apply it, you can easily create a fully saturated, even finish.
The swatch in the picture shows a piece of beech wood after one quick dip into the dye.
The base wood colour and how many times you dip / brush it on will affect the final result.

------ Drying time ------
Fast drying. Approx. 20-30 mins for touch dry

------ Coverage ------
1m square for 100 ml on average with 1 coat. This can vary depending on how porous your wood is.

------ Prep ------
Use on raw & well-sanded wood.

For extra smooth surface, prepare your work with our Primer first: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1412940348/natural-wood-primer-eco-friendly-natural

------ Finish ------
This is a binder-free water-based dye that requires further finishing.
IMPORTANT: Must be finished with oil-based finishes.
We recommend our No.7 Oil or Tung Oil for a durable natural finish.

Check out our Colour-Finish range instead (in our other listings) if you're looking for
- a complete matte finish (no oils)
- colours that do not need top-coats
- colours compatible with water-based varnishes

------ Safety ------
Non-hazardous. Only for intended use as wood stain
Wear gloves to prevent staining your skin. The stain on skin will wash off with soap.

Notes on Toy Making:
We only recommend Colour-Finish for toy making. NOT Dyes. Please check our other listings for Colour-Finish.
