This tooth powder has:

* NO FLUORIDE:
This mineral is known to be toxic when consumed in high concentrations over a long period of time. Even at dosages of 1 part per million, fluoride can damage the immune system! If it is built up in the system, Fluoride can cause neurological issues, dental fluorosis, and skeletal fluorosis. When Fluoride was introduced into toothpaste formulas in the 1950’s, its high concentration of the mineral (in comparison to the lower concentration added to drinking water) was the number one reason why toothpastes began carrying a WARNING label. This warning label still currently instructs the consumer to spit out all the toothpaste and not to ingest it, as the dangers are multiplied if swallowed. For instance, if a child were to consume even 70% of a 4.6 ounce tube of toothpaste, they would suffer from fluoride poisoning.

* NO SLS/SLES:
Sodium Lauryl Sulfates and Sodium Laureth Sulfates are abrasive foaming agents which are known to be irritants to the skin and are derived mainly from cheap petroleum. This surfactant is a probable human carcinogen and YET... most companies use it in their toothpastes! These surfactants accumulate in our internal organs and are often contaminated with 1,4-Dioxane.

* NO PARABENS:
Parabens, artificial preservatives, are commonly added to commercial toothpastes to preserve the formula. These toxic preservatives can mimic estrogen and disrupt the body’s endocrine system. Parabens can cause early onset of puberty and increase the risk of certain cancers. Parabens have the potential to accumulate within the body and have even been found within tumors.

* NO CHEMICALS/ FILLERS:
Our mouths efficiently absorb whatever we put into them, so why put chemicals in them? We should not have to clean our teeth with something that carries warning labels on the tube! Many additives are found in commercial toothpastes such as flow agents, thickeners, and stabilizers. These ingredients are not necessary for teeth cleaning, and they are not beneficial to our overall oral health.

* NO FLAVORING/ COLORING:
Artificial flavoring and colors are often added to toothpastes to make the product appear or smell more appealing. These ingredients are often laced with potentially toxic compounds which can be easily absorbed into our bloodstream. Instead, I use pure Tangerine and Peppermint essential oils to impart a natural, refreshing flavor which also has the ability to benefit both the body and mind!

* NO GLYCERIN:
Glycerin is found in nearly every toothpaste on the market. While glycerin is great for hydrating your skin, it is not very beneficial for your enamel. Glycerin is a humectant which can coat your teeth and potentially prevent the natural re-mineralization process from occurring. It is an unnecessary ingredient in tooth powder, and it is often added to squeezable toothpastes to solely aid in stabilizing and thickening the formula.

QUICK HISTORY ON TOOTH POWDER:
Toothpowder has been used since ancient times. The Egyptians used it in 5000 B.C and the Romans would grind up bones, hoofs, etc. to the clean their teeth with. In 1000 A.D., the Persians recorded recipes for teeth cleaning that included using honey, herbs and minerals.

INGREDIENT BENEFITS FOR YOUR TEETH:
Every ingredient I use serves a unique purpose and is designed to help clean teeth, polish enamel, and freshen breath.

1) BAKING SODA- Known as sodium bicarbonate, this cleansing powder works to deodorize and polish enamel. The aluminum-free baking soda used in this product is a mild abrasive, providing the perfect scrubbing factor to the tooth powder formula.

2) ORGANIC ARROWROOT POWDER- Arrowroot powder is a natural, vegan starch that is derived from the tubers of the Arrowroot plant. The Arrowroot powder I use in this tooth powder is non-GMO and contains no fillers. This powder is rich in zinc, iron, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, and B Vitamins and has long been known for its ability to detoxify and soothe wounds. Arrowroot powder was traditionally used by natives to treat poisoned arrow wounds, and it is effective in helping to draw bacteria out.

3) XYLITOL- This naturally-derived sugar alcohol is known for its oral health benefits. Xylitol has been shown to reduce both acid-producing bacteria and decay in the mouth. Xylitol, a natural sweetener, is derived from the fibrous parts of plants and does not promote dental cavities. The Xylitol I use in this formula is Non-GMO, Gluten-free, Keto-friendly, and contains no fillers, flow agents, or additives.

4) BENTONITE CLAY: The Bentonite clay I use in this tooth powder is food-grade, made in the USA, and contains no fillers, no binders, and no preservatives. This clay is added for its powerful ability to improve upon internal and external maladies. Commonly referred to as a 'swelling' clay, Bentonite clay (Sodium Montmorillonite) immediately begins to swell open like a sponge when coming into contact with water. This swelling property is what causes the clay to readily absorb and draw out toxins and impurities within the body or skin. Bentonite's structure is uniquely composed of electrical and molecular components that, when hydrated, rapidly change and produce an 'electrical charge' which then draws out impurities. Bentonite clay is a natural source of silica, iron, magnesium and calcium, all which are ESSENTIAL minerals and nutrients for your teeth and gums! * NOTE- It's important that tooth powders containing Bentonite Clay are not stored in metal tins or jars as the contact with the metal may decrease the clay's potency. 5) ORGANIC STEVIA EXTRACT POWDER: This natural extract adds the perfect amount of sweetness to this tooth powder! The stevia extract that I use in this tooth powder is FREE of GMO’s, soy, dairy, sugar, peanuts, and gluten. This plant-based stevia powder is 3rd party lab tested and contains NO additional fillers, additives, or flow agents such as Erythritol, Allulose, Maltodextrin, or preservatives. Stevia is a natural source of calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, sodium, zinc, copper, and manganese. Stevia is naturally non-caloric, does not promote tooth decay, and contains compounds that may help fight decay. Pure Stevia may help with blood sugar management and does not raise glucose levels.

6) SEA SALT: A small amount of sea salt is added for its ability to reduce harmful oral bacteria and aid in the polishing of enamel. Sea salt can help soothe canker sores and it provides natural minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium, which helps strengthen the enamel.

TO USE:
Simply wet toothbrush, pour a pea-sized amount of powder into the palm of your hand (or on the brush head), tap off excess, and brush away! If brushing twice a day, this bottle will last one person about 4-6 weeks, depending on how much powder is used with each brushing. Tip: Need fresh breath in a flash?
