I really like the desk; I'm very happy with it. There were a few things about item quality that were not perfect. The top and edges of the desk are beautiful.Some of the wood visible from the bottom is really rough in finish and much lighter in color. It doesn't even look like walnut. I ordered some 1.25" thick walnut shelving at the same time from a different Etsy provider. There was less color variance with that one, and the finish was much more consistent. I expected desk quality to be consistent, like the shelves. I note this provider does not allow returns (though I would keep it anyway, on balance). If there had been a "white glove" shipping option I would have picked it; Fedex dropped the giant palette on the street and made me haul a 100 pounds package up 10 exterior stairs solo. This nearly killed me.
