This mica pigment has such great shift to it. Not too bold but still unique. Had this one on my personal car for a bit. This colorshifting mica pigment is white in powder form. This means you're able to use just about any color base really and still see the shifting effect. To see the most colorshifting effect, a black base is suggested. That is what was used on the BMW photos and the a a light grey base was used on the Accord photos. I like to add a splash of violet candy in with the color to help bring out the purples but not needed.

The BMW was done over a black base with a Violet Booster
The Malibu was done over a black base with a Violet Boooster
The Accord was done over a dark grey base

FAQ

Q: How much pigment do I need?

A: A few factors here. The application used, the base color and the end goal result. If you are planning to use standard auto paint, 25 grams per half a gallon (2 quarts). If you are using peelable paint, 25 grams per gallon. Now that doesn't mean you have to use the above amount. This is just a starting suggestion. Being a pigment, there is a semi-translucent effect to it. The less pigment and/or coats applied will yield in softer/lighter effect and of course the more pigment and/or coats applied the more shift effect takes place however there is a too much when it comes to paint and pigments. Start low and adjust from there.

Question: What color base should we use?

Answer: Any really! Black base is pretty standard while the lighter bases such as light grey, teal or even a nice soft lavender color looks good. I don't suggest a bright white base. We've found that white is too blinding for the shift to be seen. Of course spray a sample prior. Computer/Phone screens, pigment load, coats and basecoat all play a factor. Test test test.

Question: Beside car paint what else could I use these pigments with?

Answer:
Cosmetics: Create custom eyeshadows, blush, lipstick, and bronzer.
Soaps: Add shimmer and color to handmade soaps.
Bath bombs: Infuse your bath bombs with vibrant colors and sparkle.
Body butters and lotions: Create shimmering and luxurious body care products.

Arts and Crafts
Resin: Add depth and sparkle to resin jewelry, coasters, and home decor.
Paint: Create custom paint colors with shimmer and metallic effects.
Paper crafts: Add shimmer to paper, cards, and invitations.
Polymer clay: Incorporate mica pigments for colorful and shiny creations.
Pottery and ceramics: Add color and sparkle to glazes.
