Working on this piece began with a simple idea; creating a ring with a pearl setting, whose design mimicked the natural location of the organic stone. Quickly, my own interest in coral began to show through in the piece. In the center is a large 6mm freshwater cultured pearl set into a pearl cup,. Delicately on either side, examples of Gorgonian Sea Fans extend to gently give the illusion of a bezel set pearl. On the shoulders of the shank, textured Pillar Corals are topped with (6) bezel set 1.2mm Diamonds. These were the first pieces added when designing, as I truly wanted them to shape the design and create a flowing feeling.

Moving up the shoulder, immediately behind the tube coral lies an example of Brain Coral. The raised texture stands out amidst the other objects, and balancing the different textures on the corals was carefully considered. On either side of the brain coral, fronds of branching stony coral separate it from the tube coral, used as a transitioning point. A similar transitioning point exists at the 4 groups of sea whip coral surrounding the pearl and sea fan arrangement in the center of the ring. On the outer edges, table coral fills the negative space, not reaching up but framing the center piece.

This custom unique piece is made to order, and can come as a high polish version or patina high polish version.

This item is custom made in your ring size. That means it may take an extra second or two to make your entire piece by hand.

Our supplier of casting grain uses SCS-certified 100% recycled metal. We make everything in house to order, from start to finish. After you place your order, a model is grown to your exact ring size. We then cast the model in your preferred metal, and finish the pieces by hand. After setting and polishing, the piece will quality controlled a final time for loose stones and the correct size, and mailed to your door! We NEVER plate our metal without warning you in the description or title, you will always receive a solid casting with a karat and makers stamp.
