Standard DTF Transfer Printing Guide
Step 1: Pre-Pressing the Fabric
*Pre-press the T-shirt or fabric to smooth out wrinkles.
*This step also helps remove any moisture trapped in the material.
*Press at 300°F for about 3–5 seconds before applying the transfer.

Step 2: Applying the DTF Transfer
*The direct film transfer does not need to be applied immediately.
*Place the design face-up so that the white backing touches the fabric.
*Use a heat press at 300°F with medium pressure (60 psi) for 10–12 seconds.
*For 100% polyester, reduce the temperature to 285°F.
*For delicate fabrics, lower the heat further, down to 260°F if necessary.

Step 3: Peeling the Transfer Film
*Instant Peel DTF uses a HOT PEEL method. (Can be peeled hot or cold.)
*Some heat presses may not have accurate temperature settings. If the heat is too high (above 320°F), the coating might bond with the ink instead of the fabric.
*If peeling becomes difficult, try lowering the temperature to 260–285°F.
*If issues persist, let the transfer cool completely before peeling.

Step 4: Post-Pressing for Durability
*A final press is necessary to improve durability.
*Cover the printed area and press again for 4–5 seconds.
*This step enhances longevity and wash resistance of the design.

**Additional Tips:
DTF offers greater versatility than sublimation, allowing printing on a wide range of fabrics.
Produces high-quality, vibrant transfers that work on almost any textile.
Standard DTF transfers are compatible with Cricut Easy Press or other handheld presses, but may require extra pressing time (30+ seconds) and firm pressure for best results.
Some specialty films may not transfer well with handheld presses and work best with a traditional heat press.
