Highlights
Vespertine Tarot is an animal and lunar-based tarot deck. The theme 'Vespertine'; features animals that are most active between dusk and dawn. Each card features one Vespertine animal.
Extra lunar emphasis is added to the deck as well, with every 3rd Minor Arcana card featuring one of our year's 12 full moon energies characterized by the Farmer's Almanac/Pagan/Indigenous metaphysical perspectives. This moon energy adds to the overall traditional meaning of those cards.
Additionally, the court cards feature ancient Pagan Gods/ Goddesses/spirits that personify the element associated with the various card suits (Cups/water, wands/fire, swords/air, pentacles/earth.
The traditional court card names have been changed in Vespertine Tarot. The Page is now the Maiden(Goddess of the waxing moons), the Knight is now the Mother (Goddess of the full moons), the Queen is now the Crone (Goddess of the waning moons) and the King is now the Sage (God of the dark moons).
Every Major Arcana card features both a human or spirit archetype images AND a Vespertine animal that fits with the traditional meaning of the cards.
Vespertine Tarot card meanings do follow the traditional meanings of the Rider/Waite/Smith system of reading.
This deck was created digitally (not AI) using Procreate and my Apple Pencil, over a 3 year period.
It features the traditional 78 tarot cards, plus 2 bonus cards: The Blue Moon and The Super Moon.
These standard sized cards were printed on 350gsm, white-core card stock, with a semi-gloss finish and blue-foiled edges.
My deck comes with a booklet with all card meanings and a premium magnetic-closure box with a matte finish.
**Content warning: some card images contain nudity.
