Handmade cork field notes notebook with fountain pen friendly paper + free refill

I love a good notebook. My wife has started making these really cool cork fabric accessories — things like wallets and purses— so I asked if she'd make me a cork notebook cover.

I figured the cork's natural water natural resistance would help protect the pages — especially as I write with fountain pens (no surprise) and most inks are not water resistant. I loved it and she's agreed to let me share these notebooks on my pen shop with y'all!

The cover's large surface area really lets the cork patterns shine through beautifully. It measures 4x6-inches folded and is approximately a half-inch thick with a standard notebook inside. The cover holds a standard "field note" size notebook — 3.5 x 5.5 inches — and I shopped around to find a notebooks to include that are fountain pen ink friendly.

A series of pockets makes these notebooks good companions for travel, business, and conferences. The front cover features two card-sized pockets and a larger pocket under those for receipts and more. The back cover has a shallower pocket which allows easy access to the back pocket included in many notebooks.

* The cork feels wonderful. It is lightweight and supple in the hand, yet it is also strong and long lasting. The size is perfect to fit in a back pocket or in a purse.

* It's sustainable. Unlike leather, nothing dies in the creation of this wallet. Cork is the bark peeled from the Cork Oak tree native to Portugal. Once harvested, the amazing Cork Oak regrows the bark and is ready to be harvested again in a decade. Done correctly the same tree can be harvested for more than a century.

* Finally, it's handmade! My wife's sewing studio is in our farmhouse surrounded by cornfields in Ohio. A quartet of crazy cats keep her company as she designs, hand-cuts fabrics, and sews them for your enjoyment and use.

Stock and shipping notes: My wife usually has the notebooks in stock for many of the cork colors and can ship them next business day. Sometimes she needs to make them from scratch, thus the 2 to 5 days shipping window.
