What does a listing marked "Reserved" mean?

The listings on our site marked 'reserved' or 'reserved - second payment", for example, are items that are no longer available, as they are listings that have been set up for someone who is paying on them via our layaway plan. The notation of "second payment", for example, denotes a single payment for them towards the total cost of the piece, that they are paying off over several months. A piece just marked as "reserved" is on a temporary hold for someone, and may become available again. If you have any questions about an item, feel free to use the contact button, and we can let you know an item's status, or suggest similar things!

Purchased in Colombia on one of our more recent gem hunting excursions, this is a rare and valuable example of emerald. The color is an intense, glowing deep green, with highlights of mint, and and low lights of rich teal. The light coming from this stone is unbelievable, thanks to both the wonderful cutting and the rare clarity of this high end gemstone. We've set this piece in a handcrafted setting of 14k yellow gold. Bright diamonds accent the shoulders, giving this substantial ring a bit of sophistication.
