Is the material safe for side mirrors?

Yes, the material used is specifically designed for side mirror application. It’s fully transparent when dry and won’t obstruct your vision, making it very discreet.

How does the film repel water?

The film has a hydrophilic coating that spreads water into a thin layer, improving visibility by preventing large water droplets from forming. The more moisture or rain, the more effective the film will be.

Why does the film need a wet application?

The wet application helps to remove air bubbles and ensures a smooth, strong bond between the film and your mirror.

Why does the film slide during wet application?

The water acts as a lubricant, making it easier to position the film, much like installing window car tint. Once it dries, the film will bond securely. Make sure to squeeze out all air bubbles during the initial install to avoid issues later.

Is the film hard to install?

The installation may take some practice, but wet application helps you adjust the film easily. Take your time during the initial install, especially before removing the blue protective film. Squeeze out bubbles from the center to the edges, but don’t rub aggressively. Rubbing too hard can strip off the coating. It’s best to install it correctly the first time.

How long does the film last?

With proper care, the film can last for months. Like car ceramic coating, the hydrophilic coating is not permanent and may wear down over time, especially with frequent washing or exposure to harsh elements. Gentle cleaning without soap or chemicals can help maintain its effectiveness.

What should I do when the coating wears off?

When the hydrophilic coating wears off, you can keep the film as a discreet, cheeky accent . It will still be cute and won’t obstruct your view. If you choose to remove it, simply pick the corner with your fingernail. It leaves no residue behind.

Does it work in frost or with heated mirrors?

While the film improves visibility in rain, it may not prevent fogging in extreme frost or heated conditions. It's designed primarily for rain.

Can the film fall off easily?

When applied correctly, the film should stay in place. Ensure the mirror is clean with no watermark, dust or sediments before applying, and follow the instructions carefully for best results.
